As a pediatric interventional radiologist with a robust 15-year background in clinical and hospital settings across Colombia, the USA, and Canada, I am known for my self-direction and a suite of superior skills in problem-solving, communication, and patient care. I demonstrate proficiency in time management, task prioritization, and the organization of complex projects. Holding a leadership role, I excel as a collaborative team player, effectively engaging with other healthcare professionals and remaining committed to continuous improvement and learning.
Additionally, I hold a master’s degree in East-West Psychology, reflecting a marked interest in fusing transpersonal techniques with Western clinical practice. This innovative approach combines traditional medical knowledge with transformative psychological methods, thereby elevating the therapeutic experience for patients.
My passion for medicine extends beyond the confines of science; I view it as an art where scientific acumen and human connection unite to promote health and healing. Renowned for compassion and empathy, I firmly believe in the profound ability of medicine not only to treat but also to profoundly impact lives
At Fundación Cardioinfantil Hospital, I serve in a multifaceted capacity as a pediatric and general interventional radiologist. I specialize in minimally invasive procedures, including abscess drainage, collection drainage, vascular malformation treatments, and diagnostic angiograms, for both adults and children, with a particular emphasis on the pediatric population. Additionally, I am responsible for the administration of diagnostic tests for both pediatric and adult patients, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and specialized gastrointestinal and genitourinary studies.

As a point-of-care radiologist at Dr. Moreno’s private hand surgery practice, I am responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations during Dr. Moreno’s consultations. These ultrasounds complement the physical examination, providing a comprehensive assessment of patients’ hand conditions. Our primary objectives are to enhance diagnostic accuracy and guide treatment decisions. Through this integrated approach, we have gained insights into the normal hand physiology and the pathophysiology of various hand conditions.
As a devoted pediatric interventional radiologist at the Clinica Pediatrica de Colsanitas, my responsibilities included managing complications, following up with patients, and carrying out low-to medium-complexity interventional treatments.
Vascular access, ultrasound- or CT-guided percutaneous biopsies, thoracentesis, paracenthesis, nephrostomies, joint injections for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, and sclerotherapy for vascular abnormalities are examples of interventional procedures.
I worked as a Pediatric Radiologist at Unidad Radiologica del Chico, a private outpatient radiology service. Main duties included reporting radiographs and performing and interpreting ultrasound and Doppler studies in children.
During night and weekend shifts, I worked as a general and pediatric radiologist in the emergency department of the Hospital Unversitario de la Sabana.
