Established appointments include, total body skin checks, concerning lesions, acne, rash, and wart visits, hair loss appointments, and chronic skin condition management.
- Maintain meticulous records utilizing NextGen electronic health records system. This included patient intake, updating medications, allergies, medical and surgical history, and social and family history.
- Scribing for all providers during appointments and surgeries. Documented possible diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, cosmetic visits, risk factors, and preventative care discussions. Send in medications, complete prior authorizations, schedule appointments, and answer pre and post op questions regarding procedures and wound care.
- For surgeries I ensure proper sterile technique is used. This includes setting up the sterile tray with instruments, sterile towels, anticipating any other required supplies, and sterile prepping the patient. Keep track of how many and what type of sutures and technique were used, type of surgery performed, type or repair performed such as a primary closure or flap, take proper measurements for documentation, billing and coding.
- Remove sutures and provide patients with pathology results. Communicate with providers, medical assistants, and aesthetics teams for optimal patient care.
