  • In support of EPA region 8, designed and developed numerous R and Python programs to perform statistical reviews and data visualizations on 14 coal combustion residuals datasets stored in SCRIBE databases to report laboratory findings in internal EPA memos.
  • Experienced data analyst with experience uploading, maintaining and auditing over 715,000 environmental samples and lab results in Promium Element LIMS. Over 4 years of working in adherence with EPA Laboratory Quality Control systems. Created and reviewed over 500 data packages to determine data significance for EPA projects as a government contractor. Reported on data interpretation findings to various clients.
  • In support of the EPA’s effort to reduce paper waste, developed programs and systems to convert the raw instrument data files to PDF format for electronic reporting, building in additional measures to perform statistical analyses on calibration curves and highlight failed QC checks.
  • Conducted research and authored the standard operating procedure for the MicroTrace PDV6000Ultra trace metals analyzer, in support of the EPA’s effort to source a portable instrument for screening samples for select metals in the field.
  • Designed and implemented the current ESAT Region 8 digital file storage system in compliance with EPA policy and information security best practices.

  • Preparing and analyzing water samples for total suspended solids and total dissolved solids by EPA method 160.2 and 160.1, respectively, in support of field sampling projects associated with the Bonita Peak Mining District Superfund site.
  • In support of the Carpenter Snow Creek Mining District, preparing soil and sediment samples for analysis for metals by EPA methods 200.7 and 200.8.
  • Barker Hughesville Mining District – Provided analytical support by the analysis of water and soil samples for continued monitoring of mercury by EPA Methods 7473 and 245.1 using Nippon Instruments’ NIC-MA3000 and NIC-RA3500.
  • As part of a 10 acre Superfund site located in the Ruby Mining District in Gunnison National Forest in Gunnison County, CO, under the ESAT Region 8 contract, provided analytical support by the analysis of water and soil samples for baseline and continued monitoring of dissolved metals and total recoverable metals by SW-846 methods 6010 and 6020 using Perkin Elmer Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OE) and Inductively Couple Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS).
  • Provided analytical support by the analysis of water samples for continued monitoring of inorganic anions by EPA Method 300.0 using Themo Fisher Scientific Dionex Aquion Ion Chromatography (IC) System as part of a 360 acre Superfund site located near Lead, SD, under the ESAT Region 8 contract.
  • Data entry, database maintenance and support for various Superfund sites under the ESAT Region 8 contract.
  • Provide mentorship and training for junior members of the team that provide analytical support.
