Summary

My name is spencer frederick im 30 years old and currently reside in Fruita, Colorado. I was introduced to the electrical/electronics field at a young age due to my dad being a journeyman electrician. I started my career as an apprentice electrician however during my apprenticeship i was more interested in learning about automation, control work and computers. That venture would lead me to work in the completions side of oil and gas as a Field electronic technician. I have fallen in love with my career path and would not change a thing. I would describe myself as a Enthusiastic field technician eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Clear understanding of electronics and oil and gas equipment and heavy equipment.

  • Started my electrical career at the cu Folsom football practice facility
  • As a fist year apprentice i started as an un-indentured apprentice and within a month i became indentured
  • Meaning that they were going to pay for my apprenticeship schooling 100%
  • During this time as an apprentice i was assigned to work under a journeyman electrician
  • My first 3 months on the job i was assigned to conduit installs for lighting and rough in work
  • On a typical day me and my journeyman would run roughly 100ft up to 400ft a day of conduit depending on the run
  • After learning how to run race ways i was switched over to doing lighting installs and mainline
  • When i swapped over to mainline i was assigned to help with the major wire pulls and install and terminate switch gear
  • I was assigned to mainline for roughly 6 months where the job was mostly completed
  • During my time with ludvik electric as an apprentice electrician i would say i gained a lot of experience and was able to get a great first hand glimpse into the electrical trade
  • The year i was with them i learned about ohms law how to run conduit, how to install and run circuits into parallel and series.
