
With over 20 years of extensive roofing experience, my expertise encompasses nearly all types of roofing applications, developed through hands-on training and a solid foundation in the industry. Introduced to roofing in the picturesque mountains of Colorado, the journey progressed to becoming Union-trained, further enhancing skills and knowledge. As a seasoned entrepreneur, ownership of two businesses includes a current venture as a trained and certified home inspector, underscoring a commitment to quality and professionalism. • Deliver estimates for commercial roofing projects in flat roofing systems mainly consisting of Carlisle single ply membrane ( EPDM, PVC, TPO) as well as estimates for Rhinobond, built up, torch down, asphalt shingle, slate, tile and several metal roofing systems (standing seam, click lock panels, corrugated metal)
• Attended pre construction meetings as required by the contractor or architect/ engineer
• Blueprint reading is a must with this position, we also used an estimate program titled Bluebeam/Revu to streamline a more accurate estimate
• Field measurement of projects that either did not have blueprints or are existing buildings needing roof replacement
• We also worked closely with Gulf-eagle supply for our insulation layouts
• Manage order and delivery of upcoming projects before deadlines to ensure a consistent flow of work
• Every year RTS Roofing has “training week” that consists of a day of safety training for all employees to maintain OSHA compliance and fall protection requirements (accompanied by an OSHA representative) as well as Carlisle training days ( accompanied by a Carlisle inspector) to maintain education and compliance in their single ply systems
• Laborer for a framing company that would build outside bar/grills, pole barns, additions on buildings
and carpentry for residential and commercial purposes.
•Use of skid steer was fairly common during construction.
• Knowledge of load bearing components was a major factor during this position.
• Blueprint reading for structural planes was eventually taught to me during my training.
• I was owner of a small carpentry company that would remodel basements, replace roofs, install gutters, install wood burning fireplaces/surroundings, and other types of construction/ handyman work
• The business eventually dissolved due to COVID restrictions
