I am a hard-working and driven employee, when I put my mind to something I will do almost anything to achieve my goal. I am a great team player and a social butterfly so I thrive in this environment.
As an intern at the Probation Office, I have been given the opportunity to assist within the La Plata County Courthouse in any way I can. I am also able to sit in on cases and watch the internal operations of court proceedings to learn different judicial processes.
At the Roost, I learned how to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment as the only hostess and busser. I greeted and seated guests promptly, ensuring positive first impressions. Managed reservation system efficiently, optimizing table turnover rates. Helped my severs to coordinate service flow during peak hours. And maintained cleanliness and organization of front-of-house areas for guest comfort. I was cross-trained in serving but was never given the opportunity to serve myself!
At BBBS, I began as primarily a behind-the-scenes intern, photographing events, helping set-up for fundraisers, etc. But I eventually joined their high school mentors program and took a "little sister" of my own. I had to navigate her complex emotions and become a leader to a young child. I became a support system and confidant for her, and had to learn how to advocate for a young child while also guiding her.
