Oversee tactical and operational execution of maintenance and reliability programs for inland vessels operating across the inland waterways. I have successfully led multi disciplinary teams to achieve sustainable results supporting the company's mission and vision.

Achievements:

• Implemented two RCM projects that contributed to the availability´s improvement by 5 points (85% → 90%), equivalent to +430 hours/year of asset uptime (~USD 864K opportunity cost) and also improved the operators and maintainers knowledge.
• Implemented asset health programs to critical equipment (main engines, propulsion lines, diesel generator, bow thrusters). Including: vibration monitoring, oil sample trend analysis, infrared thermography.
• Participated in 120+ dry-dock and major overhaul projects, achieving zero disabling incidents and cost/schedule deviations
• Led a project of Remaining Useful Life Analysis based on historical reliability data that contributed to achieve savings in CAPEX by USD 1.5M annually and OPEX by USD 120K through sustainable main engines overhaul optimization strategy.
• Improved propulsion system reliability and fuel consumption (propeller redesign), increasing MTBS and asset availability, saving USD 125K annually.
• Designed and implemented a structured Capital Projects Office (PMO) with KPIs, role definitions, and budget controls.

Service Field Engineer and Analyst roles.

• Supervise the field assembly and commissioning of heavy mining equipment at different remote mine sites in the north of Colombia (BHP, Glencore, Drummond).
• Managed warranty accounts, conducted failure analysis, and raised claims to Caterpillar.
• Standardized maintenance and repair processes using Lean and Six Sigma principles, and best practices dictated by Caterpillar.
• Served as Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2008, conducting over 130 audit hours.
• Analyzed fleet performance data and prepared a report for the stakeholders, including management. The report contained KPIs such as MTTR, MTBS, availability, the top ten down events, backlog management indicators, among others.
