As a self-employed carpenter, I also managed and maintained this vacation rental home.

I was the carpenter and maintenance person responsible for two watersport retail spaces and projects at the owner's home.

• Responsible for the upkeep and servicing of all the HVAC systems.
• General maintenance for both stores and office space.
• Worked with the owner to design and renovate the new retail space for WaterBase Water Sports. My responsibilities included constructing custom store fixtures, the checkout counter, and dressing rooms. Additionally, I installed new electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, security cameras, and dedicated power circuits to support the point-of-sale systems, internet connectivity, and the in-store audio system.
• Collaborated with the owner to construct a paddleboard rental storage space and subsequently developed the policies and procedures for paddleboard rentals and lessons. This included defining rental agreements, safety protocols, and customer service guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. I also trained employees and rental customers with paddleboard lessons.
• Fabricated and installed an Ipe butcher block style countertop and the prefabricated kitchen cabinets at the owner's residence.

• During the summer months, I temporarily assumed the responsibilities of Property/Maintenance Manager and Concierge, providing comprehensive coverage during the Property Manager's absence.
• Upon arrival in St. John, I greeted the guests and provided them with concierge services to ensure optimal satisfaction throughout their stay.
• During guests' absence from the property, I ensured the cleanliness and chemical balance of the pool and hot tub, while also addressing any reported maintenance requests.
