Deli Manager/Cashier

Helga's German Restaurant & Deli
08.2019 - 01.2020
  • Customer service was my number one priority in this position, as well as the management of other deli staff.
  • I would have multiple orders to place throughout the week on specific days, as well as ones that would be close to one another. I kept a record of all receipts, order changes, what arrived, and what didn't, etc.
  • As for management of staff, I was in control of schedules, as well as always being on call when needed, and all deli training. My phone was always on so people could call me with questions about the day. I tended to write my schedules out for the whole month so people could easily plan things around their schedule. And training was usually 6days (full shifts), or until I felt comfortable with them running the deli alone.
  • Customer service was huge because we usually only had one person on shift at a time (besides busier holidays, etc). This meant that while I still had Manager duties to do, I still had the standard deli worker duties as well. We are expected to serve people in a relatively quick time. As well as try and upsell the inventory we have
