Peter Morgan is a partner with the firm. He represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.
In his more than 25-year career, Mr. Morgan has represented insurance companies in connection with claims arising out of nearly every type of available insurance. These include commercial general liability, professional liability, property, builders’ risk, excess, umbrella, fidelity, E&O, D&O, homeowners, automobile, uninsured/underinsured motorist, personal and advertising injury, and life insurance.
Mr. Morgan has successfully litigated and tried cases in state and federal district courts, state and federal appellate courts, and in arbitration.
He also lectures on insurance coverage and claim handling issues.
Since 2013 Mr. Morgan has maintained an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
He has been named to the list of Colorado Super Lawyers 2019 – 2021 and 2023 – 2024, for his work in Insurance Coverage. The list, compiled annually by Super Lawyers magazine, features attorneys from more than 70 practice areas who are recognized by their peers and through rigorous third-party research as being among the best in their respective fields.
In early 2024 he joined Otteson Shapiro and is excited to bring his background representing insurance companies to the firm’s already strong insurance recovery practice.
