Oliver Wallace

I have recently been appointed a Middle School leader for our school. I was encouraged to apply for this position by the head of the middle school. This is due to my strong organization and leadership skills, my academic record and my ability to work well with teachers and fellow students.

As part of this role, I will be required to:

• Demonstrate strong public speaking abilities while presenting at numerous school events and meetings.
• Collaborate with students and teachers to come up with different and preferred methods of learning.
• Organize school events to foster a sense of community and promote student involvement.
• Represent the voice of students and come up with reasonable solutions that suits all.

I babysit for family members and friends, including my young cousins. I always make sure to have fun with them and we play lots of fun games because I love to take care of them and I always enjoy doing it. I always make sure they are safe. While babysitting, I have:

• Bathed, dressed, and helped with teeth brushing as part of bedtime preparation.
• Reassured children when upset providing emotional support and stability.
• Communicated positively with children and parents.
• Played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to young children.

I have provided dog sitting services for numerous family members and friends. I love dogs, so I will always offer to look after a dog if I can.

While I am taking care of these cute dogs, I make sure to:

• Have food and water ready when needed, following instructions from pet owners.
• Give the doggies lots of love, attention and pats to ensure they are having the best time.
• Walk the dogs daily and play with them to make sure they have lots of exercise.

I love sport, which is why I have represented my school in many athletics competitions, including, basketball, hockey, soccer, cricket, AFL, cross country and track and field. I have represented my school at zone carnivals, including SAPSASA and Achilles Cup.

In these sports I:

• Attended all practices, meetings, and workouts on time.
• Managed time effectively while traveling for games, attending practice, and going to classes.
• Developed strong relationships with students, staff members and coaches.
• Won awards including, best defensive player, MVP, and coaches awards.
