As Learning Area Manager, I serve as a core member of the Sort Center Leadership Team, directly managing a team of training specialists and leading site-wide learning initiatives. I am responsible for aligning training operations with business goals, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with corporate Learning teams to support safety, quality, and productivity across the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and deploy a team of training specialists to meet internal customer needs, ensuring ongoing alignment with site and network objectives.
- Design, implement, and facilitate training programs for associates, managers, and trainers, including needs assessments, skills development, cross-training, and leadership training.
- Mentor and coach employees at all levels to support their development and growth.
- Develop and maintain accurate training documentation and materials; partner with process owners to ensure documentation standards are met.
- Deliver training classes and communicate policies and procedures to managers and new hires.
- Collaborate with Operations and Area Managers to understand performance goals and provide targeted training support to achieve year-over-year improvements.
- Monitor site workflow and metrics for safety, quality, and production, responding quickly to operational needs and scheduling requirements.
- Drive standardization and best practices for training across departments and sites, ensuring consistent implementation of network training programs.
- Supervise T3 Trainers and provide indirect leadership to T1 Ambassadors.
- Oversee the Powered Industrial Equipment Training Program, maintaining all required certification documentation.
- Track, analyze, and report on training metrics, compliance, and department goals at both local and network levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and take ownership of the Sort Center’s safety and compliance standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record of operational execution in warehousing/manufacturing environments
- Expertise in Learning Management Systems, data analysis, and process documentation
