  • Currently provide engineering and project management for our Network Capacity Engineering Team
  • I am responsible for building capacity within our data centers as well as providing remote support to all data center engineers
  • I do end to end transport engineering on Google network as well as working with other vendors on portions outside of Google Network
  • I am proficient in many platforms such as Infinera, Nokia, Ciena, BTI, Cisco and other proprietary systems
  • I also provide basic turn-up for Arista, Juniper and Cisco Routers
  • Provide remote testing support, capturing test results, reviewing of results and approving tests completed in the field
  • I am an advanced trouble-shooting remote support engineer for NASA and APAC regions
  • I have written our basic leased wave troubleshooting guidelines and keep our field testing guide updated for multiple test sets
  • I write many internal process documents to assist engineers and create base structure to implement proven pilot processes
  • Most recent NPI’s are DR4+ retrofits and 400ZR of which I co-authored our training materials and published in NDL
  • Typical day consists of working with designers, capacity calculations, creating material orders, deployment packages, field activities tickets and fully managing all projects
  • I am responsible for ensuring our projects get completed on time and meet all of Google's criteria
  • I regularly interact with multiple vendors, suppliers and other Engineers
  • Currently use a variety of project management tools on a regular basis

  • Responsibilities include overseeing fiber splicing, testing, characterization, turn-up, writing of MOPS, provisioning of remote equipment and handing over to our customer
  • Project manager overseeing employees and contractors performing field work and keeping projects on track
  • I trained employees on the use of fusion splicers and test equipment to complete a full working fiber path to hand over to our customers
  • Regular use of Fujikara fusion machines, Exfo OTDR's and basic turn-up equipment needed to troubleshoot
  • As a District Manager I also provided budgeting for multiple teams as well as keeping our time and expenses in check
  • Approved internal time as well as contractors time and invoices

  • As an operations engineer on Centurylinks longhaul network we continuously built out infrastructure within data centers and all pop locations
  • We maintained OSP fiber into buildings, installed equipment, onsite turn-up / troubleshooting
  • We managed contractors on a daily basis and provided quality control from every aspect
  • We also managed our OSP facility from splicing fiber, characterization, testing, troubleshooting, as well as field engineering
  • Extensive background from placing fiber to handing over a working network
  • I have experience with the following troubleshooting equipment: OTDRs and OSAs
  • Regular use with the following: DLI, Spirent, T-Berd, Sunrise, JDSU, Exfo test sets and Fujikara fusion machines.
