Teacher of the Month, April 2026

Although I have been informally recognized for my dedication to my school, colleagues, students and the community over the years, I was formally recognized in April 2026 as Teacher of the Month for various reasons.  Those reasons included: rating as a highly qualified English teacher who is dedicated to my students, sponsored DMS Student Council for 5+ years, planned and organized dances and other after school activities, sponsored after school detention, planned and organized various field trips and cross continental/world trips, and led the 7th grade team of teachers.  It was an honor, as this was a new program the district created this year (recognizing teacher's of the month).
