While working at Foothills Recreation Center, I handled different patron situations, worked with cleaning the room spaces and gym areas, and cash handling and counting. I have enjoyed my time with this district thoroughly. I have made relationships with consistent patrons and I have gotten to know them as people. These relationships make me look forward to going into work and getting to talk to those patrons. This job was wonderful for teaching me about the workforce and about more serious aspects of working like patron altercations and cash handling.

• Learned and maintained proficiency in first responder skills such as First Aid and CPR to offer individuals in distress optimal support.
• Monitored safety of guests in and around swimming pool.
• Maintained a clean and orderly pool area, ensuring a welcoming environment for patrons.
• Attentively monitored swimmers to identify distress.

This job was wonderful for showing me how to work well with a team. I learned valuable skills and how to be responsible in times where maturity is crucial in a job like this.

• Gained valuable experience working within a specific industry, applying learned concepts directly into relevant work situations.
• Gained hands-on experience in various lifeguarding situations and taking care of young children.

This job was a very fun job that I was lucky to have starting at the young age of twelve. I loved being at the pool when I was younger so this lifeguarding internship was a perfect fit for me. Learning how to take direction and follow orders from a young age has helped me in the jobs I have had since then.
