Leah Garcia

Dynamic childcare professional with extensive experience working with children with special needs such as Autism and Down Syndrome. Strong problem-solving and relational building skills enhancing children's growth in nurturing environments. I also played collegiate softball and was named team captain as a Junior and Senior, which helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and discipline. I was also awarded with sport accolades such as First team all-conference, First team all-region, and Academic honor roll throughout my four years. I completed my sport career and Bachelor's degree with a 3.45 GPA. I am committed to creating inclusive spaces and communicating well to promote emotional and cognitive development in the field of Behavioral and/or Speech Therapy.
