  • Served as a Military Personnel and Administrative Assistant for a HUB center of a Soldier Readiness Processing Center (SRPC). The position is responsible for duties with personnel, administrative and finance functions for assigned units/soldiers within the area of support.
  • Performed a wide variety of military personnel, finance and administrative duties associated with the processing of military personnel, finance and administrative actions.
  • My duties include, but are not limited to, processing actions, preparing correspondence and reports, verifying data, correcting errors, reviewing records, updating automated systems, and providing advice and training. I was responsible for having knowledge of other military personnel programs such as records accountability/maintenance, evaluation reports, promotions, casualty assistance, personnel actions, reassignments, awards, reclassification, transition management, separations, in and out processing; provide advice to supported Soldiers. I research and analyze a variety of information sources for personnel requirements. Provided technical expertise for both officers and enlisted personnel concerning awards; line of duty investigations, reclassification, reassignments, emergency data cards, and record updates. I made decisions based on numerous military publications and regulations and a variety of information sources. Referred problems or the more complex issues to higher graded specialist or supervisor.
  • On a regular basis I am established, maintained, edited and provided guidance on complex pay issues; processing, audited a full variety of administrative pay actions including but not limited to Student Loan Repayments, Incapacitation Pay, Severance Pay, Death Gratuity Payments, Bonus, Special Pay such as dental, medical, hazardous duty, etc., and allowances such as family separation allowance, housing, subsistence, uniform allowances, etc. I also reviewed complex cases involving matters such as back pay, indebtedness and cases of similar difficulty. I reviewed master military pay account transactions and reports for reserve service members ensuring compliance with pay entitlement laws, regulations and needed decisions. I researched complex pay complaints and issues and provide responses.
  • Performed administrative functions by reviewing system input/output and error reports to determine type of error and possible causes. I developed reports of rejects, trends and similar statistical material for submission to supervisor; reviewed pay actions, outgoing correspondence, directives and publications. Created and updated a variety of files prior to transmitting or retrieving data. Controled and monitored suspense files, correspondence files, record distribution, reporting requirements, etc. Assured proper files and records were established and maintained pertaining to personnel, finance administrative activities. Provided guidance, interpretations, training and briefings on current and proposed policies for several programs and provided information and explanation and analysis to respond to inquiries.

  • As a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, my additional duty was to assist Reserve Units that have been alerted for mobilization, preparing for overseas deployment per USARC guidance.. My additional duties included but were not limited to reviewing and editing weekly personnel reports, slides, memo’s and operations orders. I reported errors and discrepancies to Chief of Staff, my supervisor, division staff and downtrace units. Advised the mobilizing units of possible solutions to correct errors and discrepancies with their reporting processes and Battle Roster management.
