The Peer Mediation Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a peer mediation program that promotes peaceful conflict resolution among students and teachers. This role includes training student mediators, facilitating mediation sessions, and working closely with staff and administrators to foster a culture of respect, communication, and collaboration. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the peer mediation program.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student mediators.
• Facilitate or supervise mediation sessions between peers in conflict.
• Maintain confidential records of mediation cases and program outcomes.
• Develop SEL lessons for Peer Mediators to use within freshman classes.

• Re-wrote 7th grade science curriculum and resources to fit the “Understanding by Design” format
• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Align lessons with science curriculum objectives and TEKS
• Maintain discipline in the classroom
• Evaluate and track 100+ students’ progress throughout the year
• Offer after-hours availability to students for education-related questions and help
• Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and promoting excellent student engagement and student/teacher interactions
• Utilize technology to enhance lessons and student engagement

• Senior Trainer for Peers Making Peace, a nationally recognized evidence-based prevention program and Positive Action Center mentoring program.
• Established and maintain collaboration of government, education, and law enforcement agencies statewide.
