
Mr. Gillus has over 28 years of experience in SATCOM Operations and Maintenance and control. He has 20 years with the DOCS4/WSOTS Program, including the last 16 years as a Site Manager. As a working manager, he directed, monitored, and reviewed all contract performance on site. He ensured on-site quality of performance, implementation, and testing, and provided recommendations for improvement. He also made certain that test, analysis, and reporting were contractually compliant. His experience as a soldier and a contractor includes technical and supervisory positions. He has held increasingly more responsible key positions within the DOCS4/WSOTS Program as a DOCS4 Field Engineer, a Defense Satellite Communications System (DFCS) Field Services Representative, and a Site Manager. His extensive experience in various positions has given Mr. Gillus insight across key aspects of the program and makes him a valuable asset to the WSOTS II mission.
Oversaw WSOTS II program management, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with government regulations.
Provides support to maintain the WSOMS Engineering Support Laboratory at the contractor facility for performance of engineering analysis, testing, problem investigation, and troubleshooting. Ensures laboratory configurations constantly parallel those in the WSOC and SSCs and be sufficiently robust to be used for analysis of system, IA, LAN, and WAN research and troubleshooting. Performs configuration management, reconfigures equipment for testing, and maintains a continuous record of work performed in the laboratories. Provides In-Plant guidance and coordination for contract performance in various technical areas.
