In June 2024, I was deposed in a hearing before an administrative law judge related to a case filed by a facility who disagreed with our immediate jeopardy findings. The case involved a resident death when his wishes to have cardiopulmonary resuscitation performed, but the facility did not honor his request. The CMS attorneys requested I sit with them after my testimony and throughout the entirety of the hearing as a subject matter expert. The results of the hearing are still pending.
