OTHER LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AND SUCCESS POINTS

  • Early in my career, I held outreach and operations roles at Jovian Holdings, LLC—a holding company and combined family office engaged in philanthropy, venture capital, politics, and issue advocacy. I managed operations and fiscal controls as well as a $1+ million budget, led HR processes, and ensured regulatory compliance. Further, I organized public policy coalitions. I also authored or co-authored policy reports, white papers, media alerts, press releases, and managed strategic philanthropy, political campaign support, and maintaining regulatory filings.
  • From 2017-2023, I served as Board President and Director of Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods. Here I revived and revitalized a nonprofit from near bankruptcy to financial stability, and helped the 50 year old organization reinstate its role as a proactive local policy advocate. Under my leadership, we implemented improved financial systems, revamped governance structure, and established new revenue sources like a membership program and a collaborative project to rejuvenate our community center. Finally, I actively engaged in media relations activities and municipal-level policymaking as the organization’s chief executive and director.
  • From 2022-2023, I was a candidate for Denver City Council. My campaign focused on key issues such as housing, homelessness, public safety, and government efficiency. I championed initiatives to accelerate affordable housing, promote land trusts, diversify public safety staffing and cultural competency, and supported measures to improve services for the unhoused. In addition, I advocated for public-private-philanthropic partnerships that would invest more in parks and other community assets.
  • In 2021, I was inducted into the 25th Anniversary Class of the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. This program honors individuals and leaders exhibiting entrepreneurship, leadership, and charity in a variety of sectors, with winners ranging from CEOs to nonprofit leaders.
  • I had the privilege of chairing the board of directors of NARAL/Pro-Choice Colorado from 2012-2015. Once on the brink of closure, the decades-old nonprofit re-established its significance in Colorado’s public policy and healthcare landscape. Other success points include: appointing a new executive director, restructuring three governing boards (c3, c4, and PAC), and revitalizing programs to align with community needs and existing sources of funding.
