JUAN FELIPE LOPEZ SANCHEZ

I am a medical student in my fourth semester. I graduated from Gimnasio de los Cerros. During my time at school, I stood out as a good student, recognized for my academic performance and the values promoted by the school. I participated in various poetry events (silver lira), spelling bee, and sports activities, representing the school in the Alcázares Cup in Medellín, Colombia, in soccer and chess. My chess achievements include: ACN Champion on several occasions during the period of 2017-2022. Represented Gymnasium Los Cerros in the Alcázares Cup three times. Qualified for the District Intercollegiate Chess Finals on several occasions (2019-2023). Champion of his Kallpa Chess club on several occasions (2019-2023). Candidate to form high-performance teams in the Bogotá Chess League. Runner-up in the 2021 Rueda Rueda International Foundation Tournament. Qualified for the finals of 2022 Rueda Rueda International Tournament, held in Barranquilla. Winner of Rueda Rueda International Tournament of 2022, Festival sub-17 Category, held in Barranquilla. Subchampion of distrital chess tournament 2023, blitz modality, held in Bogotá. Regarding music, I participated in the Junior Original Concert Festival held in Medellín by the Yamaha Music Academy, where I studied since I was 7. I composed several piano compositions that were recognized at the JOC Festival (“Pipe’s movie” and “La Alegría de vivir”). I was selected to participate in the Summer Camp for Future Scientists in Denmark, held in Copenhagen in August 2023, 10 students represented Colombian delegation, in the camp in total 100 Students from more than 13 countries. Heartsaver First Aid Course Certificate with CPR and AED. 21 November/2024. Regarding languages, in addition to English, I currently have an A2 level in German. I am very motivated by my medical career, which I hope to pursue.
