- I took care of a camp in a remote part of the ranch with my wife and oversaw the care of 1,000 pairs in the summer, along with 1,600 yearling replacement heifers.
- Springtime would calve 200 A.I. heifers.
- Fall was spent at the ranch feedlot, riding pens, and taking care of animal health and 7,000 weaned calves.
- When time allowed, I showed my better ranch horses in local cowhorse shows.
