Leadership and management of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) attraction projects that support Colombia’s sustainable development: Successfully implemented an investment attraction strategy resulting in an annual reduction of 8,915 tons of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to planting 24,858 trees over 25 years. Achievements include: the transfer of technology through bifacial translucent solar panels applied to a groundbreaking sustainable organic farming project; the reduction of Colombia’s digital divide through infrastructure and telecommunications tower technology; the creation of quality jobs through regional engineering development centers; and enhanced competitiveness for Colombian exporters via cold chain and tech solutions.
Account management for the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, both existing investors and new prospects nearing investment consolidation in Colombia: Managed over 187 foreign investment opportunities, resulting in 35 qualified investment leads.
Leadership in positioning Colombia in the North American and Caribbean markets: Led ProColombia’s participation in the Virtual Business Fair of the Americas organized by the Colombian-American Chamber of Commerce, alongside international partners such as the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the Kansas Department of Commerce. Also led Colombia’s participation in the United Nations SDG Investment Fair—the UN’s most important investment event—in coordination with the National Planning Department and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism.
Trade missions with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism in the United States, including strategic meetings in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with MinCIT.
Leadership of webinars to promote FDI: Notable examples include the “Colombian Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure” webinar and the “New Incentives for the Audiovisual Industry in Colombia,” both organized in alliance with the U.S. Embassy in Colombia.
Organization of U.S. business missions to Colombia: Noteworthy is the IT & Software Investor Mission, co-organized with the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of State, which brought together 22 high-level representatives from 13+ multinational companies such as SentinelOne, Mandiant, Intel, AWS, Salesforce, Cloudflare, Google, Qualcomm, Cisco, Scale, Hughes, Accenture, and Tenable.
Strengthening relationships with established multinationals: Led the U.S. Investment Networking Breakfast in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Colombia and the American Business Council, as well as the Canada Investor Breakfast for established Canadian companies operating in Colombia.
