Volunteer Work

  • Throughout my adolescent years and into my early 20s, I volunteered actively, both in and out of school. I was apart of my high school Key Club where we did several projects pertaining to visiting old folks homes and children's homes, fundraising, and donating equipment to various causes.
  • Outside of Key Club, I also participate in the yearly ICC Beach Clean Up, in either Montego Bay or Kingston, as well as Mangrove planting initiatives hosted by the Montego Bay Marine Park. I have worked closely with the Rotary Club of Montego Bay on several of their projects including Christmas hampers, feeding the unhoused, and several fundraising events.
  • In 2019, I launched my own initiative, Crochet for Charity, where I sold crochet jewelry and all of the profits went to a different cause monthly including the Montego Bay Marine Park, the SOS Children's Village, and The Rotary Club of Montego Bay Water Tank Initiative.
  • During Miss Universe Jamaica 2019-2020, I also launched a recycling initiative with the aim of placing recycling bins in schools and restaurants around Montego Bay, and collaborating with The Recycling Partners of Jamaica to help spread awareness and make the practice of recycling more accessible and achievable.
  • I volunteered with the Lennox Lewis Boxing Camp in 2018 in hanover. This boxing camp catered to at-risk youth in the surrounding areas from ages 7-19 with the aim of teaching them self defense, discipline and providing a community and safe haven
  • I have also taken part in the Read Across Jamaica initiative and gone to NAZ Children's Center to read and engage with young students in English.
