Operated and set up CNC swiss machines and checked quality of parts as they came off these machines.
Operated CNC 4-axis mills and made adjustments and offsets to parts as needed.
My responsibilities included setting up and running multiple CNC Star Swiss machines, one being a Star SR-32J and the other being a SR-20. I also had a little bit of experience on Partmaker 3D software. Some experience programming using G and M codes.
I was responsible for completing prototypes of various medical instruments. Interpreting prints and programming using mastercam software and conversational style systems on Mazak machines. I was bouncing back and forth from a 3 and 4 axis lathes to 4 axis mills. my experiences were day shift and night shift based,so i do have the ability to problem solve when the resources of a manager or supervisor wasn't necessarily present.
My machining career was built off of this job.
I was taught the basic machining skills necessary for operating CNC machines such as 3 and 4 axis lathes,4 and 5 axis mills, swiss turns and also gun drill machines.
I quickly got to the point where i was one of the youngest leads in my department. I feel very comfortable leading other individuals to complete the jobs and tasks at hand as long as i have the proper training and feel comfortable with those things as well.
