
As a teacher candidate, I offer strong foundation in educational principles and classroom dynamics, I am eager to learn and develop in supportive teaching environment. I am so excited to offer bilingual instruction. Bilingualism is a superpower! I hope to brings solid grasp of lesson planning and student engagement strategies that are rooted in culturally sustaining pedagogy. I am ready to use and develop collaborative and organizational skills in my first teaching role.
As a 4th grade student teacher, I held intervention groups for literacy and comprehension, often taught whole group, and taught small group for students who needed additional support. As a student teacher in this bilingual program, I primarily taught in the Spanish component. I supported my mentor teacher throughout all subjects and classroom behavior management.
At Uni Hill, I developed and implemented lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards with my mentor teacher. I supported my mentor teacher in fostering a positive classroom environment promoting student engagement and participation throughout the bilingual program. I primarily taught in the Spanish component classroom.
I also assessed student performance and provided constructive feedback or necessary intervention for academic growth. Throughout my experience here, I have collaborated with the 1st grade team to refine instructional strategies and lesson planning.
As a head cashier, I was expected to supervise daily cash operations, ensure accuracy and efficiency in transactions.
I trained and mentored new cashiers on customer service best practices and register procedures.
I continue to develop strategies to improve checkout speed and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
As a leader in my store, I am expect to communicate effectively and transparently with others to ensure smoothness in the workplace.
Overall, I am in charge of managing cash drawer reconciliation, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
After Uni Hill's school day, I was in charge of coordinating an interactive class about Climate Action among the youth. Throughout this afterschool program, my partner, Aisha, and I taught students about the different levels of taking action to make lawful changes to prevent climate change. We taught them about local lawmakers, bills, voting, and the importance of their voice.
