Summary

Electronic engineer with a master's degree in Control, Automation and Robotics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. More than 10 years of work experience, focused on the design and implementation of useful and profitable strategies in the field of automation and control of industrial processes. Currently work as automation and control manager in one of the most automated ethanol production plants in the country, where lead a work team committed to achieving goals. Provide technical direction, motivating and developing others.

Deep knowledge and hands-on experience to develop and implement industrial automation and process control projects. Worked in different stages of the project: Design, procurement, construction, commissioning, integration and updating of control systems, development of applications (hardware and software) for control systems (PLCs, DCSs) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS and F&G). Extensive experience in industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Hart), design and implementation of continuous and discrete control strategies, applications to sequential processes, PID tuning. Gained experience participating in on-site testing and installation activities (FAT, SAT and commissioning). Practical knowledge of ISA 18.2, ISA 101, ISA/IEC 62443 standards.

Developed applications for Foxboro Evo and I/A Series Distributed Control systems, Hima, Triconex, Trident, TriGP Safety Instrumented Systems, and Wonderware Supervisory System.

  • Managed the Distributed Control System (DCS) and the Safety Instrumented System (SIS) to ensure operation of entire ethanol production process.
  • Designed and implemented control logic and strategies to automate different processes.

  • Integrated new equipment (drives, starters, controllers, PLCs, among others) into control system through industrial communication protocols.
