My boss was a 71 year old man who needed someone more capable to help him around job sites with heavy lifting and manual labor. He taught me how to use nail guns, power saws, grinders and other various equipment used to tare down then put up roofs and siding. I worked as the only laborer alongside my boss making every job site we went to a 2 man mission; I kept very busy.
I worked many odd jobs with my step-father Ronald miller but this was the longest project we completed to date, alongside finishing our basement together. Ron is a master carpenter and he passed knowledge to me for many years prior to my moving to Steamboat. This particular landscaping job we cleared out a clients 1/4 acre yard of fallen trees and overgrow. We replaced the back deck on the property and did the entire project start to finish as a 2 man team. The client was an 86 year old lady living alone who was no longer able to maintain her yard/ property by the name of Debbie Sizemore.
