As a full-time English instructor at the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), I work within the Virtual Institute of Languages, which is responsible for the transversal English program across all undergraduate programs. My primary role involves designing and delivering meaningful learning experiences that foster the development of communicative competence among students ranging from 17 to 70 years old. I conduct virtual classes, provide personalized tutoring, and offer continuous academic guidance through the online learning platform to ensure students’ progress and engagement. My approach combines academic rigor with empathy and adaptability, recognizing the diverse needs, backgrounds, and learning paces of distance education students. In addition to teaching, I actively contribute to academic events and activities organized by the University’s Office of Student Well-being, promoting intercultural understanding, community engagement, and the practical use of English in real contexts.
