Provide for the review, analysis and design of highway and pedestrian bridges; provide assessments of public agency bridge inventories and develop bridge capital improvement programs; review of structural calculations and plans; assist with construction technical support; lead bridge inspection teams and oversee bridge inspections in Tucson and Pima County; assist with review and support of overweight load permits; provide project management.

Provide instruction on the design of bridges using LRFD methodology and on bridge construction using current methods.

Assist with review of highway and pedestrian bridge analysis and designs; support review of bridge structural calculations and plans; conduct an in-depth inspection, investigate various materials, research and provide rehabilitation concepts and construction alternatives for the Mission Road Road Overpass over the Asarco Mine Haul Road.

Responsible for analysis and design of highway and pedestrian bridges; oversee the development of bridge plans and specifications; lead and conduct bridge inspections; provide technical support to bridge construction projects; provide project management on various bridge and roadway projects.

Responsible for in-house bridge analysis, design and preparation of plans for highway and pedestrian bridges, culverts, various drainage structures and various transportation structures; prepare cost estimates and specifications for in-house bridge projects; review of consultant bridge designs, plans, specifications and cost estimates; prepare design guidelines for bridges and structures; manage the County bridge inspection program, also conduct and prepare bridge inspection reports for ADOT and FHWA; provide technical support to PAG/RTA members for bridges and transportation structures; assist with and develop structural specification for the PAG standard specifications; adjunct faculty at the University of Arizona providing instruction on the design for the design and construction of bridges.

Prepare and draft structural details for plans and assist engineers with design of details.
