  • Primary duties consist of using IQMS software, part drawings and various measuring tools, such as calipers, pin, depth and thread gauges, as well as completing any paperwork following good documentation practices, while performing first article, hourly and last article inspections, all in a ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 clean room environment. Good communication and teamwork with the process technicians is key to make sure parts are being produced in specification to the drawings and customers requirements. Time management is also very important during times of high production with only one QC3 working per shift, in regards to prioritizing needs for completing first articles, collecting and completing hourly measurements for each machine currently running and answering any questions other QC team members may have in regards to what may pass or fail certain parts.

  • The last few months I was with Injectech, I was being being trained in testing for new molds and production qualifications. Establishing process window, gate seal studies, and establishing high, low and nominal qualification parameters. For 3 years, daily responsibilities include; Set up and installation of molds and tooling. Installation of molds into molding machines. Attaching water lines, adjusting die height, setting ejectors and platen open and closing speed settings. Operation of JSW and Cincinatti Robo-shot, all electric molding machines. Setting up and operating HY Robotics over head sprue pickers. Processing out any issues that may arise during start up or production, such as; flash, shorts, voids, flow/weld lines, or any other problems that would cause parts to fail. Fully trained in reading drawings and using tools such as calipers and pin gauges for QC measurements. Perform light repairs and maintenance on molding machines, robots, hopper dryers and thermolators as needed, as well as performing all material handling needs. I have also received certifications for completing plastic process training programs in Paulson and Chase plastics and have fork lift certification for a class 4 fork lift.
  • Conducted routine equipment inspections, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues proactively.
  • Collaborated with engineering teams to implement process improvements, reducing downtime and waste.
