Christian Casabón

Electric guitarist with 10 year experience playing the instrument, performing variety of styles like Jazz, Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal; advanced knowledge on expression techniques. Teaching experience with children and adult people. Individual, one hour guitar lessons based on academic programs provided by Escuela de Música y Audio Fernando Sor. At other schools, individual guitar and basic theory lessons (sight reading, harmony, guitar techniques), as well as directing ensembles using pop and rock songs. Basic and advanced harmonic knowledge, arrangement and composition knowledge as well. Experience with school ensembles and playing with musicians of other colleges. Adding to the latter, I've worked as a translator for Ph.D candidates on different universities in Latin-America and the U.S., and recently, translated a book from Spanish to English for a Puerto Rican published author. Background includes working in Academic environments to perform document and verbal translation services. Excellent listening and communication skills with organized and systematic approach. Delivers high level of accuracy in Spanish to English and viceversa translations.
