Chelsey Smelser, BSN, RN, is part of our Clinical Decision Unit, and was recently honored with the Intermountain L.O.V.E./DAISY Award for the extraordinary empathy she showed to a family in need.

After a long journey with nowhere to stay, they found comfort in Chelsey, who secured a safe place for them to rest and cared for them with grace. Her actions created a moment of relief during one of their hardest nights.

"Chelsey's compassion made a lasting impact on our family during one of the most difficult nights of our lives...She made us feel seen, supported, and cared for.," said her nominator.
