Caroline Pita

Methodical, trustworthy, diligent undergraduate student pursuing two bachelor's degrees in engineering as well as a minor in business. Experience in the medical field, research, and customer service.

Research

• Research under a CSU professor Dr. Snow, training and testing rats in an experiment to recreate Pavlov's theory of associations with an added component of bacterial gene manipulation (08/22-05/23). Required persistence, organizational skills, coherence, productivity.

Community Involvement/Learning Opportunities

• Studied abroad on Semester at Sea (Fall 2023). Learned what it means to be a global citizen. Fell in love with travel and culture. Had to be resourceful, open-minded, outgoing, and flexible.
• Mission trip to Belize, Summer (2019). Helped construct the foundation of a new school building. Called for rigor and physical labor skills. Needed people with a high work ethic and determination. Enabled immersion in the culture and allowed for getting to know people of different backgrounds.
• Participated in Student Council (2017-2021). Circulated events and promoted school spirit and involvement. Demanded high planning and coordination skills as well as a passion for improving the school's environment and considering various student viewpoints.

• To pursue an internship with a renowned engineering company that encourages individuals to push themselves out of their comfort zone and provides guidance with job experience in the engineering field through a hands-on approach.
• Direct communication and mentorship from engineering professionals to learn about career opportunities, industry trends and needs, and ways to improve one's technical skill set.
