BROOKE DREIER

• Working with multidisciplinary teams to provide care for 4 to 6 patients.
• Following the nursing process while using clinical judgment and time management to effectively implement a plan of care.

Charge RN

• Supervising and guiding the unit and staff in their daily assignments.
• Managing a high volume of admissions and discharges while encouraging productivity and quality improvement.
• Assisting staff in recognizing when patients are deteriorating to promptly initiate necessary interventions.

Preceptor

• Mentoring New Graduate RN's through the first 12 weeks of their career.
• Coaching new hires to develop job specific skills, critical thinking, and autonomy to carry out their own practice.

• Provided total nursing care for 5-6 patients with chronic illnesses
• Established comfort measures for patients and families in End of Life Care.

Emergency Department

• Spent many days initiating treatments for patient's with multiple diagnoses who were holding in the Emergency Room.

Charge RN

• Assisted other RN's in meeting acute care needs of patients on the unit while taking a full patient assignment.

• Partook in a New Graduate Residency Program and attended monthly meetings to reiterate the nursing process and aid in continuing education.
• Evidence Based Practice (EBP) Project: "Music Therapy in End-Of-Life Care". Designed a poster and presented to the hospitals Evidence Based Practice Board.
