Blake Bush has been in full-time ministry since 1990, first as a youth pastor for 14 years and then as a senior pastor for 14 years. In January 2019, Blake and his wife Kristen stepped out of leading a local church to establish One Hope, a ministry increasing unity, worship, and prayer in Colorado to extraordinary levels. The primary expression of One Hope is the Colorado House of Prayer in Old Town Fort Collins. The vision of CHOP is to have churches and ministries work together to keep worship and prayer going twenty-four hours a day, six days a week. Along with ministry to God, we want the people of our city to have a place they can go to find help any time, day or night. Blake and his wife have four kids, all married, along with five grandkids.
I oversee the development of unified worship and prayer in different locations in Colorado including The Life Center in Loveland, Johnson's Corner Chapel in Johnstown, the Loveland Police Department, the State Capitol, and our primary work at the Colorado House of Prayer in Fort Collins. Testimonies abound about the effect prayer and worship are having in our region.
I was asked to bring prayer and worship to the capital building because of the oppressive and dark nature of the atmosphere. In addition, I was to minister to the Republican staff as I had opportunity. The position only lasted a little over a year because the person who brought me in had to step down. The door opened for only a brief moment and then it closed.
I had a ministry of presence to about seven businesses in Greeley, all under the same owner, bring counsel, conversation, and care to employees. Mostly I would walk the floors and talk to people about anything on their minds.
Planted a new church with a team of people out of Iasis Christ Fellowship. Responsible for team development, shepherding the people, setting vision and direction, and leading worship services.
Ministered to CSU students on campus and also lead a Sunday morning worship experience for the same group.
I oversaw Junior High, Senior High, and Young Adult Ministry in a fulltime capacity. Responsibilities included weekly gatherings, visiting schools, counseling young people and families, putting on activities, and taking kids to camps and mission trips.
I assisted the youth pastor in running the weekly youth meetings, Bible studies, activities, and retreats.
