Summary

I am a recent graduate pursuing a position where I can further pursue my passion for ecology. My past jobs and experiences have taught me that effective communication can solve most work issues. I also find that befriending all other employees on staff creates a positively collaborative workplace. I am looking forward to a new position where I can make an active impact on the ecosystem and community surrounding me.

I will be available to begin work on 07/25/2025

Research

Undergraduate Internship with the Museum of Natural History at the University of Colorado Boulder, Spring 2025

  • Advisors: Dr. Ryan St Laurent, Megan Blanchard
  • My advisors conducted a survey of bee and wasp species in Colorado National Monument and Dinosaur National Monument as a project funded by the National Parks Service. I archived bee and wasp, (Hymenoptera), specimens by pinning labels, inputting data, and taking photographs for the collection. We then analyzed which bee and wasp species were found on which plant species in order to determine the importance of various invasive plant species in Colorado monuments for pollinators. For my final project I identified the Hymenoptera Geneses found on 2 species of invasive sweet clover using a dichotomous key and compared the plant's results with graphs on RStudio.

Undergraduate Class Final Project, Principles of Ecology, CU Boulder, Fall 2023

  • Lichen as Bioindicators of Air Pollution - The object of this study was to assess if the urban center of Boulder produced enough particulate matter to discourage lichen growth. Lichen samples were assessed for quantity and health from randomly chosen locations. Data was then analyzed to see if lichen quantity and health increased as distance from downtown Boulder was increased. This project taught me more about how we can see and determine the effects of anthropogenic actions in the environment.
