My name is Arthur “Butch” Britton. My water career started after I graduated from Pima County College in Tucson AZ, with enough credits to become an Operator in Training (OIT) at the Roger Road WWTP in 1987. I became Chief Operator one year later at the Ina road WWTP. 1990, I was transferred to the Pima County Enforcement Division, regulating Categorical and Significant Industrial Users facilities discharging to the POTW. 1992, I moved to WA as an Industrial Waste Inspector for EPA, region 10, categorical industries (Boeing being one). I also took on the role of working with the local Fire Department with the first responder team for spills and spill containment and enforcement specialist. 1999, I went to Iraq as a ROPU (reverse osmosis production unit) foreman. 2006, I joined General Electric as a Senior Field Service Representative, then GE became SUEZ Water and changed hands again to Veolia Water, where I supervised construction, startup, commissioning, operator training of just about every type of water treatment system for over 20 years. I am currently working as an operator at South Platt Renew, city of Englewood and hold a class D Colorado Wastewater certification. I also have Arizona class 3 (expired) and Washington State class 3 (also expired). Reason for looking at Castle Rock is I live in Monument and the drive to Englewood is getting old.
