I hold a bachelor’s degree in Philology and languages from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA, USA. I recently obtained a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management from Universidad de la Salle in Bogotá and a diploma in Quality Management of educational institutions, Internal Quality Audit ISO 21001:2018.
I have a C1 level of English, certified in September 2024 which has allowed me to be a teacher and a professor at different institutions such as Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad de Los Andes, Universidad ECCI, and Montessori British School. I have also taught Spanish as a foreign language in a high school in Virginia while being a cultural ambassador with the Participate Learning program (formerly called Visiting International Faculty).
I have seven years of experience as an Academic consultant, teacher trainer, and public speaker promoting ELT learning material and as a product specialist for the IB and CAIE catalog for Oxford University Press and Macmillan Education. I have also been a pedagogical manager for the British Council-SED agreement, implementing the Design Thinking methodology in their professional development program for ten participating district schools.
I’m working at Liceo de Cervantes El Retiro school as the Bilingualism Coordinator after two years of serving as the school’s Academic Coordinator. My current availability is Monday through Friday in the evenings. I’m open to working both on-site and online.
