Assist students in Specialized Programs by providing specialized individualized instruction; including academic support, monitoring behaviors, and functional life skills. Assist student in maintaining personal health and hygiene functions; assists students to and from classes and to bus stops.

*Provide support in general education setting in order for students to fully participate in class activities. Assist students in Specialized Programs by tutoring, adapting work and monitoring and enforcing social and acceptable behavior. May assist with administering testing, assessments or homework. Implement specialized therapy programs; work directly with therapists on physical progress and Individualized Education Plans (IEP).

*Assist special needs students in performing daily routines, including getting to and from class and bus stops, feeding and medical needs. Support behavior plan implementation. Utilize CPI (Non Violent Crisis Intervention) techniques and safety monitoring.

*Facilitate and encourage speech and language development through the use of alternate

communication systems such as sign language or voice activated computer systems.

• I provided support to students, teachers, and parents with the overarching goal to increase the academic, personal/social and career development for gifted and talented students in grades K-5
• Assist students with special educational needs by delivering academic instruction, assisting the teacher with preparation of classroom materials, adapting curriculum to individual student needs and monitoring behavior of students in K-5

• Facilitated strategies to support positive school climate, collaborated with teachers, students and parents, supported the development and monitored the implementation of 504 plans, focused on teaching coping strategies and assisted families to access school, district and community resources

• Provided transitional services to students in grades Pre-K-12, managed the referral process for students in need of homebound services, provided case management of student referrals, supervised, trained and hired homebound instructors and facilitated individual education planning

• Implemented district counseling curriculum, assisted students with individual planning, provided responsive services and community resources and participated in professional development
