MOMA’s House, MOMA’s House is a local, 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting survivors of domestic violence and human sex trafficking. Based in Laveen, MOMA’s House offers a transitional housing, therapeutic treatment, community resource referrals, safety planning, and life and career skills training., Resident Advisor (Intern), Laveen, Arizona, 2016-01, 2016-05, Reviewed initial housing applications; initiating communications with prospective residents (clients) on site, via email, or over the phone. Collected missing data and researched applicants to render decisions based on program guidelines., Compassionately guided new residents through the intake and assessment process by assisting with post-acceptance paperwork and openly discussing concerns or program offerings. Assisted residents on a daily basis by connecting them with program and community resources to ensure personal progression through the program., Actively engaged in fundraising campaigns and advocacy efforts by volunteering and promoting the nonprofit during community events to include “Take Back the Night”; an annual event, hosted by MOMA’s House, that focuses on educating the community and raising funds to prevent domestic violence and human sex trafficking.
