I am confident that my 20+ years' experience in educational roles, combined with my passion for helping others, makes me an ideal candidate for this position. Since college, I have taken the path less traveled, spending my time pursuing life experiences and helping others. The experiences I've had - Mongolia (Peace Corps Volunteer); Colorado (Immigrant Community Advocate for the Spanish speaking community; teaching ESL to working adults; paraprofessional in the Significant Support Needs classroom; Speech Language Pathologist Assistant; Special Education teacher); Ukraine and the Republic of Georgia (3rd grade teacher to international students); Mexico (English teacher to Oaxacan students); and on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and Arizona (Speech Language Pathologist Assistant; Special Education Teacher (Autism/Inclusion) - have shown me what it means to navigate challenges, be adaptable, resourceful, how to communicate clearly, utilize problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset, and demonstrate meaningful contributions with patience, empathy, and understanding.
