  • Created this organization our of my own trauma from being brutalized to near death by Denver Police.
  • Launched an unprecedented recall effort of former Denver District Attorney Mitchell Morrissey witch sparked national conversations around the role power dynamics and influence of a DA in the criminal legal system and police violence.
  • Codified the Denver Independent Monitor's office in city charter.
  • Developed a community based participatory defense strategy that has proven to be affective in both bring charges to Jeremy Allen Smith, The man who killed Michael Fresquez and getting 2 count of 1st degree murder dismissed in the self defense case of Stephan Long.
  • Oversaw financial management activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring for improved financial stability.
  • Developed strong partnerships with other businesses to allow for collaboration and more significant opportunities for growth.
  • I developed and facilitated a Know Your Rights curriculum, a Restorative Justice curriculum, a Racism vs Prejudice curriculum, a Know Your District Attorney 101 curriculum.

Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) / Adams 14 Schools

  • Developed an unprecedented coalition effort called Youth Empowerment Project that launched a variety of approaches and systems as alternatives to punitive discipline structure with in the Adams 14 school district
  • Developed strong partnerships with other non profit partners to allow for collaboration and more significant opportunities for growth of students.
  • Built a positive organizational culture that fostered creativity, innovation, and employee engagement.
  • Facilitated over 100 Restorative Justice session, largest being with 15 students.
  • Constructed the most successful out of 15 after school programs built, being our boxing program in collaboration with Brick City Boxing.
  • Over saw Refocus Room operations In Kearney Middle School, Adams City Middle School, Adams City High school, Lester Arnold Alternative School and functions at the community SAWP building.
  • I created expulsion prevention plans for students who were close to expulsion
  • I created expulsion engagement plans for when students did get expelled and I would advocate at the hearing and at every level of the process.
  • I worked directly with families of the students to provide additional supports with my team to aid in barriers they may be facing e.g. food boxes, therapy, substance use classes, mediciade enrolment, etc.
  • I developed neutral zones in both middle schools to assist with harm caused by developing gangs.
  • I also worked with students going through the criminal legal system due to behaviors that occurred both on and off campus with the same participatory defense strategies
